c4 kickdown questions

I have a c4 with a B&M zgate shifter. I had the engine and trans rebuilt when I was over in the sandbox, and I noticed recently that there is no kickdown on my car. I bought a kickdown cable from Lokar and tried to install it tonight, didn't go so well. Does anybody have a detailed picture of the side of a c4 so I can see what the proper hookup of a kickdown cable should look like? My haynes manual doesn't have much detail and I can't find anything worth while in a google search.

Do you have a pedal assembly similar to this one with an arm pointing downward?

Is your kickdown cable similar to this 67/68 kickdown cable?

the pedal does not have the arm that reaches down and connects via cable to the tranny. Not really sure why that's not there, but it's been like that ever since I got the car. Either it got cut off at some point or the pedal has been replaced with something else, hence buying the Lokar cable that connects directly to the carb. I've got everything connected correctly on the carb side of the cable, but after crawling under the car to hook up to the kickdown lever, things look a little weird to me. I think maybe it's the aftermarket shifter that is throwing me off, I just need to figure out where exactly to hook up the cable to the transmission.

should have one of these on the trans

and it goes on the shift linkage like this (not shown is the NSS)

and the cable Craig showed hooks to the throttle (he also showed) like this

thanks man that's exactly what I needed, thank you. It looks like I don't have that lever on the the transmission. Any ideas on where I could pick one up?

I'm confused. The Lokar cable comes with everything you need. No other parts from Ford are needed at all, including the lever on the transmission. I used to have one on my daughter's '69 with a 302/C4. I only have pictures of the way it hooks to the carb side, and none of the way it hooks to the tranny.

The cable runs to the back of the transmission, then uses the last tranny pan bolt to attach, then makes a u-turn back to the the where the shift linkage attaches. The lever that attaches to the transmission should have come with the Lokar cable. The cable also should have come with instructions that are extremely simple to follow.

Here's a pic from Summit's web site, of both ends of the cable:
