Cali black plate on local CL

It looks to be in great condition but it seems as though they only have one plate.

No good unless your just hanging it up on the wall.

Frank I need to give you one of my plates with a stack of stickers! Who knows what's there or if it is worth anything but I would split any thing you make off the stickers with you!

Waaaay too early for a 64.5 Mustang; J series are likely change-over plates in 1963 when Cali went from black on orange to orange on black.

I'd love to take a look.

J could be perfectly fine for a 64.5.

Don't believe so. I had an "N" received in June 65

Frank is correct, my brother's early '65 (built Sept '64) starts with JKN.

From my very limited information, it looks like both those JKs were issued from Los Angeles area DMVs. JGK came from Fullerton and JND came from Hollywood. The JWR likewise probably came from SoCal. JTP was from Pasadena and KGT was Long Beach.

Could you imagine running across KGT 289?
