Swung by the Tx Motor Spwy. tonight to snap some pics with my Challeger rental (V6 unfortuanately), I know it's blasphemy but I think I found a Camaro I would like to test drive...

I had 2 of them sold before security escorted me off to 'pit crew jail'.

I get so much grief for wearing my tie in recent pics that once my car is at the track I think I'll wear the tie to race in, like Gentleman Tom Payne did in the '66 Cobra's, he forgot his race suit one race and wore a suit and tie, got so much ribbing he did it from then on and got his 'Gentleman' monicker...I'll have to find a pic, know there's one in a Cobra book I have at home.

I was going for the irony, thanks for the kick in the cujones, right back at cha' :nk
Reminds me of the old JA shows I"ve been watching this weekend with the wife, ~8yo girl kicked Johnny Knoxville and put him on the ground, I couldn't stop laughing!

Did you see the corvette out there that the driving school wiped out last weekend?

No I didn't and I had nothing to do with jumping it over parking lot levels...
I did a complete lap around the complex, took a bunch of pics and saw the condos (looked empty), think I'm going to convince the wife we need to invest in a condo. I'll let her know it's not at the beach after....

Too bad it also "wiped out" a life :eek:mg

So where do you rent a Challenger? I have rented the new Mustang and Camaro now I want the Challenger.

I got mine at National, that's the co. we have this year, wish we'd switch back to Hertz or Avis again, selection is better. I haven't tried the Camaro yet, don't know if Natl. has them as I haven't seen them in the executive selection. I gotta say I'm less than impressed with the V6 Challenger, really heavy, even with ESP off the tires won't make a sound. Stock tires are GY Integra's and feel like you're driving on marbles and give no confidence on sweeping on/off ramps, flex so bad they feel like 17" tires on 15" rims. The interior isn't very retro either, don't see where it looks special but I've never driven an old Challenger, maybe the V8 dash/console/shifter is differnt? I think it's the closest exterior wise to it's original but falls off after that.

our company "lets" us rent from Hertz but prefers National. In 2006 I rented a Mustang from Hertz in Tampa.

No 'action' shots Craig?
I haven't gotten that lucky yet...
I will say that the Lincoln MKZ I had last trip was very impressive, had the 3.7L that I believe is going to be in the 2011 V6 Mustang and it was powerful and responsive in the heavier MKZ.

No evidence, I mean action shots, sorry. I had my hands too full to be taking pics anyway!
