Can this be true?

I believe it is, just not a factory equipped top. I read up on those some years back that the trunk had to be longer to hold the top.
 
I recall reading about these many years back. A company was converting them after the fact and several years after they were made IIRC (but I drink a lot, so the ol' memory isn't what it used to be :beer )
 
Says the vin starts 6R47A. Obviously not correct, but if it's 6R07A then it began life as a coupe. :dun

Maybe someone trying to "create" a bodystyle?
