Can you Hemi...? Can you Hemi NOW?

Hell Bent for Speed
Picked another Hemi this weekend. A good running '54 imperial 331 Hemi. Needs a little cosmetic work ( clean/paint) and some new plug wires now. I spent yesterday making engine cradles for both Hemi's so I can store them and have them mobile as well.

We have a Hemi in our 07 Magnum wagon and it is just stupid fast. No one needs that much power to go get the kids and Pizza. What were they thinking ?

We have a Hemi my wifes jeep. It's a beast. We Bought it for towing power. But its not nearly as cool as those vintage ones.

We have one in the new Durango and I am plenty impressed!

Hmmmm...maybe a hemi powered mustang?

Those old Hemi's run a 7.0:1 compression ratio, no? I wonder what sort of horsepower they were able to put out.

I'm not sure of base specs, but being low compression, they couldn't be much on the HP side. But to up the compression is big $$$... just for pistons.

Like I said though, the '55 is running as is and ready to go except on the cosmetic side. So I will probably fire it again on a test stand and thoroughly check it out and make a final decision

It's going to look good in the model A though.

Course some of Fords most popular engines are not listed (Boss 429 and SHOC). The Hemi with it's special head design is a Monster.
