Carb. issue

All of a sudden the carb. wants to " back flow " fuel when ignition is turned off, Fires up and runs but when ign. is switched off the fuel puddles up in the manifold recesses in front of carb. WTF ?

Could be that the float valve is either stuck open or has some debris preventing it from closing.

Could be something has been damaged by ethanol in the fuel you may have used. It will destroy seals and such in time. Not sure if your gas down there is blended or not but it's likely.

I'll check the float while I'm in there . Ordered some gasket material so when it comes in I'll try replacing the carb. base gasket and see what happens. Have been running Ethanol down here cuz have no choice.

Need to know what style. Holley? Autolite? Other? Pictures may help.

Knowing the style of carb will help narrow down potential problems.
