Got rid of the "loop" from manifold to water pump (by-pass heater core) and just capped both off. Lost about 1/2 gal of coolant. What is the best way to replinish without getting a airbubble in the system and having to "burp it" ???

Exactly, I don't ever plan on using the heater down here and didn't like the hoses laying up on the engine anyway. By-passed with the "loop" and have never been happy with how goofy it looked, so I decided to cap them off. The std. by-pass is intact."mustang656man" said:i dont believe he is talking about per say "bypass hose" rather the hose used to bypass heater in his car! wes
Yes Pete, I used the rubber caps. I remember reading that they do fail rather quickly, but I will keep a eye on them and change accordingly. Thank's for your input."AzPete" said:Did you use rubber caps? If so, be sure to check the caps you used just as you would the other hoses. I had one on my water pump for nearly 10,000 miles and 18 months. It was holding up real good when I installed the heater. I would just put a steel or brass plug in the intake.
