Children's Museum

I took the boys to the Children's Museum yesterday. We used to go all the time but hadn't been in a long while and since I needed something to keep them busy yesterday we decided to go.

They have a Mustang that is on display there. It's either a '65 or '66 (I think it's a '65 but not sure since it has no data tags on it) and the boys used to love to play in it and look at the car. I think our owning a '66 coupe has ruined the exhibit for them because they paid no attention to the Mustang in the museum yesterday. It's just a straight six car that looks somewhat original except the front seats are for certain not even close to original.

And since you guys always tell me without pictures it didn't happen...here ya go

The grille's a 66...

I was thinking it's too bad they wrecked a halfway decent door with the cutaway... lolol

Wow, that is cool.

Maybe we should send the pic to Nick. He could cut out the rust and use plexi to fix it. I can see it now a mustang at the shows with plexi doors and cowls.... :lol :lol :lol

Yep, you can get in the car. The gear shift is removed but the steering wheel, all the dash stuff, etc is still there. They have it sitting on jack stands even though the tires are still on the car.

Before they redid the museum they used to have both doors on it with a rod connected to the door to prevent if from closing. Now due to space limitations the driver's door is totally gone.

One observation I made is that it is one of the few I've ever seen where the headlight buckets actually line up with the fenders pretty well.
