Saturday, SWMBO and I headed off to Costco and I proceeded to drool around the LED tv's there. After realizing that I didn't yet wish to prioritize a new tv into the budget, I went off to find the boss.

I caught up with her in the sporting goods isle and we proceeded to look around. Lo and behold, there I spotted a GoPro 960 camera set. I mentioned it to SWMBO and she said she was going to surprise me for Christmas. I proceeded to put the item in the cart and said 'you did!'. So, I'll have that video situation all squared away for my next open track day. I will have to pick up a suction cup mount but can do that a little later...

We are looking at LED TV's too. We are still using an old tube tv.

Saw the commercials for the new Samsung that you can run apps on, and with the Android phones, am thinking those new tvs that can run apps could be what we want to go with. Need to check it out more though before we commit.
 
LED/LCD TV here too....only a 26" to replace the tube 19" in the kitchen though.

Costco has a Vizio 26" LED/LED, 1080p, 60hz for $300.
Can't find a better deal on the size we want (under 27" wide). I know the 60hz is a limiting factor but only found one other 26" with 120hz (an LG) and that was $800.....nope not needed for the kitchen TV.

Not meaning to be mean....BUT


I hope you have watched videos with the GoPro before buying it. The video is OK, but the sound is fargin horrible. I tried a GP a couple years ago and was very dissapointed. Sold it to an autocrosser that didn't care about the sound!
 
Can you type louder? I didn't hear all you said....

Couple of people at Willow Springs use them and liked them - they are not autocrossers. We'll see how it works out. Returning it is an option as well.
