Claim dollar amount question for missing original parts

So the movers lost 1800 pounds of my stuff. Part of that was a few boxes of original parts that I have been acquiring over the years and I have no clue how to put a value on them. I am not even sure what I paid for the stuff over the years. What is the value of a complete and working power top and A/C system for a 66 convertible?

Aren’t those parts VERY expensive and super valuable?

Look up what it costs to replace them, then double that for Original parts.

When we moved from Kansas to Iowa the job paid for the movers. Bastards “lost” my amp/receiver, tape deck and turntable. I’d had the system for eons and was kickass.

Our stuff that they packed up and moved into their storage facility in Georgia. There was a hurricane and flooding in that area while they stored our things so we are thinking it had water damage. Either way what we got was 1800lbs less. I'm sure that I am going get the short end of the stick on this deal but it could always be worse.
