cleaning TTII

stupid question : What is the best way to clean Torq Thrust II wheels. Polished alu rims ?

I'd recommend Mother's Mag/Aluminum polish. If you don't feel like doing it by hand, the Mother's Powerball is a pretty slick little tool. Wax afterward to help prevent tarnishing.

Don't let them get dirty!'

Seriously - the more you stay after them the better off you will be. I've used Mothers and Meguiars and both work well, especially with the power ball. Beware of water - water spots are not your friend.

mine are dull even after I clean them. I'm using the Meguires and a power ball. Guess I need something stronger?

I bought used late model Bullitt wheels and the fronts really look fantastic but the back has pits from brake dust corrosion. Where I've been able to scrub the pitting clean, it doesn't look bad, but there are many brown pits remaining. Are there any options for getting the discoloration out of the pits so that they will at least match the color of the rest of the wheel?

:lol :lol :lol Too many TTs out there....Use dynomite! :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Just kidding, I think that you should use good old elbow grease. The cleaners out there have acid in them and are very hard on the finish. For our very nasty wheels on the buses we use soap and water and elbow grease! You can really tell when a dumbars uses a cleaner. they look good for a bit and he puffs his chest out saying how smart he is and how fast it was. then a few months later the shine is duller, there are etching marks on the wheels and such.

So, we use lots od hard work! It leaves a nice chiney wheel and jou know what I mean man! Chrome and aluminum chould be chiney, man!
