Clutch Pedal Shaft Clip Question

For some of you that have been following the saga of the car that was never to be driven again, it took another fun turn today. I finally got the new clutch fork in with limited problems and everything seemed dandy. When I went to push in the clutch pedal, I got nothing but a lot of resistance. When I pulled the clutch pedal up with my hand, it snapped back as high as it could possibly go and was only stopped by the bracketry that holds the steering column in place. Upon further inspection I saw that the clutch pedal shaft had come almost completely out!

Here's my question - I was able to finesse the shaft back into place :):insert joke here::), but I don't know what kind or size of clip was used to keep it in place? I am assuming it was a either a C-clip or a snap ring? I didn't see anything in the parts supplier catalogs either so any help on a size and type of clip would be greatly appreciated!

Is this the clutch pedal pivot shaft that is part of the pedal hangar assembly? If so, I thought it was basically swedged into the hanger.

Yes, the clutch pedal pivot shaft that is part of the pedal hangar assembly. On my car there is a clear cut out on the pivot shaft for a retaining clip of some sort. If I work the clutch pedal back and forth, the shaft slowly works its way back out of the hole in the brake pedal support bracket.

Sorry for my error. I wasn't thinking too clearly (as if I ever do). Looking at the clutch pedal pivot shaft, is there a hole through the shaft at the end? If so you would need clip 380699-S100 from NPD. If though there is a groove around the end of the shaft, I believe you would need clip 74279-S.

Well guess what? I might have been wrong earlier. Here's a pic of the clip in my car and I don't find it in the NPD catalog

Aha! I have that clip! As it turns out, my dad accidentally took that clip off thinking he was working on the area where the brake light switch is installed. I couldn't figure out for the life of me where that clip went when I found it in a bag of parts. Now I know. Thanks Cmayna! You just made my day!
