For some of you that have been following the saga of the car that was never to be driven again, it took another fun turn today. I finally got the new clutch fork in with limited problems and everything seemed dandy. When I went to push in the clutch pedal, I got nothing but a lot of resistance. When I pulled the clutch pedal up with my hand, it snapped back as high as it could possibly go and was only stopped by the bracketry that holds the steering column in place. Upon further inspection I saw that the clutch pedal shaft had come almost completely out!
Here's my question - I was able to finesse the shaft back into place :insert joke here:, but I don't know what kind or size of clip was used to keep it in place? I am assuming it was a either a C-clip or a snap ring? I didn't see anything in the parts supplier catalogs either so any help on a size and type of clip would be greatly appreciated!
