Computer help needed.

We have a small notebook computer that I have WiFi enabled. It's good for checking e-mail and such but we have found recently that when you are typing a reply to a forum post or an e-mail, the cursor will stop, possibly delete half of your post and return to the beginning of the post/reply. It's extremely frustrating as you can imagine. Our older boy (or my wife) may have inadvertantly changed a setting that causes this. I dunno. I don't know what to look for. Anybody help with what I should look for?

Sticking backspace key?

I can't think of a setting that would do that.

My laptop will do some crazy chit sometimes if I hit the scroll lock key.

Do you use the touch pad on the lap top? I know when typing on the SWMBO's lap top sometime weird things would happen. I have since disabled the touch pad when the wireless mouse is being used. fd
