Ok I have one of those Canon digital cameras. Of course it take videos which I CAN download to my PC and view them...no problem.

But I would like to line them up together and mafe a DVD of all the files I took at the Monterey Races this past weekend. But the software I use to make DVDs....can't remember the name of the software (I'm at work right now) will not recognize the videos files, therefore the folders where I look to find them are blank.

I think they are MOV. versus the MPEGs or multiple other formats the Production software recognizes.
Any help would be appreciated.

More details when I get home.

I use Video Editor when merging different adult video scenes that I took, together.

Is Video Editor a seperate Software that I need or is it in some MicroSoft package I already have?

Seperate. Keep in mind that as far as I can see based on how I use it, it is a video editor meaning if you shot a bunch of segments and want to crop them and put them together to form a big video, this is it.

Very few will want to watch convert video files; you should really make fastback video files. :sm_NTA

Okay they are MVI Quicktime movies....and the editing SW is PowerDirector 5
PowerDirector only recognizes:mpg,mpeg,mpe,dat,avi

is there a way to convert my files to one of these?

I use a program from Xilisoft for converting video formats. It's not freeware, but I've had good success with it keeping the audio and video tracks syncs. I've used some others that were bad, by the end of a video the audio was way off.

Windows movie maker might be able to read / import the files. I can't tell you right now, computer Nazis won't let me install Windows Movie Maker here at work.

I am happy that Craig has a rich fantasy life....
