cookie monster cupcakes

Our kids normally get to bring a sweet to school on their birthday(cookies, doughnuts etc.)
Today my oldest turns 14 and this is what we made for her to take.

Use white cake batter ( we using one with confetti in it.
After making the cupcakes use food dye for blue icing and coconut confetti.

cut slits in the top of the cupcake for the mouth and eyes.

Then apply the icing and dip in the coconut confetti.

place chocolate chips on plate and nuke (depending on yours) til soft
Put them on white chocolate wafers, then place them in the eye slits

Jam a chips ahoy in his mouth and viola!

Those are great! The book on the table answered my question about their school. In public schools you haven't been able to bring anything edible for a LONG time. Fear of allergic reactions taken well beyond the scope of sanity. Too bad because those look like they would be awesome.

Those are neat. My little girl loves cookie monster. We will have try and make them for her birthday.

Next one should make a Kitty Litter Cake. They'd get quite the rise out of Sister Gertrude....
