I found out that my house and my brother's house are at exactly the same latitude. His in Fresno, mine in Hollister.

Hollister California? Hollister and Fresno California appear to be on the about the same longitude (east-west of one another). Did you get that from the GPS or map function in your phone?

Longitude is a north/south measure; latitude is an east/west measure. It appears that Fresno and Hollister are roughly at the same latitude, not longitude.

Easy way to remember....latitude....ladder, with rungs like latitude..horizontal....

I had noticed on Google Maps that we were close and got curious as to HOW close.
