Coolant explosions!

More coolant explosions. Bugger. Earlier in the year I blew out a freeze plug from the block, then half way through the 5th session I blew a 3" gash in the upper rad hose:

You can see the white smoke out the back, the lurch on the wheel as the coolant drenches the right rear under braking/cornering. I noticed just a few spots splash up on the passenger windsheild so darted into pit lane and shut it down. I think I found the problem, my Gano filter was 75% plugged with crud so I bet the pressure was building and found the weakest link both times. Strange because I've run it between those 2 times just fine all day long. Weird.

I did manage 4 sessions like this though:

So the day was pretty fun! Been out a lot this year testing some new parts coming soon. Its been our biggest and most fun project yet, hope you like it when its released!

Nice video Shaun!! It seems like I'm not the only one having a crappy year with the car :eek:mg Hopefully I get to run again this Sunday.

Can't wait to hear about the new stuff.

Shaun and his gang only run Coupes. :lol

Why is that?!

Coupes are quicker because they are chaper to fix when you stuff them into the wall...
