I have been trying to swap out the rear springs and rear housing (with 355 gears) of my 68 coupe with a 351W. And it seems to be fighting me every step of the way. So far:
* Dropped center chunk on my hand and having to get 3 stitches.
* Found the sub-frame connectors I installed in 2002 covered the holes in the frame for the front bolt of the leaf springs.
* When my son was using the plasma torch to cut out the section of the above mentioned sub-frame connectors, he caught the batting of the rear seat on fire.
* While working on removing the emergency brake, I passed out. Found out my blood pressure was 163/103. It has been 4 week and I feel that my BP is still not regulated correctly.
* My BP finally was were I was able to install the new 4.5 leaf Mid-eye leaf springs. After getting them on, I found a crack in on of the leafs and had to take them back off.
I was pondering all this and then I remembered, I put a refurbished under-dash harness (from a well known Stangfixer) in the coupe last summer. So could all this be "THE CURSE OF MIDLIFE"?
