So, in addition to having a really frigg'in hard time sending CL ads to anyone now that they have virtually unreadable verification codes, they're requiring a phone number to verify when placing ads. OK, fine and dandy, but what happens when I go to sell more cars than I have phone numbers in a 90 day period? I'm trying to clean the place up around here, so I unloaded a Toyota Truck and a Camaro in the last month. Tonight, I go to place an ad for one of my Explorers and use the third and final phone number I have available. But I never get the publishing email, so I tried to post again as sometimes ads "ghost" and just disappear into outer space. But now, it won't let me use that last number again, so I'm S.O.L., I guess. Where else do I try to sell crappy cars that aren't worth advertising nationally, besides CL?

:wtf

DO you have to use a valid number for you?????? or just any phone number that matches the area you are advertising in?

They call and give you a code to enter to place your ad.

There has to be some way to get around it. :confu Look at how many ads a single car dealer puts on CL in a single day.

I believe there is a way to create an account there that would require only one registration instead of one registration per ad.

I believe the accounts cost money.......you mean a real person calls or is it a machine........getting ridiculous. So....you can only use one phone number in 90 days of adds? List several cars in one add......

That's strange, I've never had to give them a phone number for a verification phone call. I just placed a for sale ad, and only had to type in the verification phrase. Is it just for selling vehicles?

They must just have you on a watch list!! LOL
