Daughter Succeeds Again

Ponyman66

Yak, yak, yak
While I would have liked to have been at home today working on the coupe, my time was occupied with greater things. Some of you may recall my daughter getting her Bachelors degree a few years ago from USC (that's University of South Carolina for you western folks!). Well that made one proud dad. Today she upped the ante and received her Masters degree from The Citadel. We are sure proud of her and spent the day at her graduation ceremony and then dinner. She also transferred jobs, moving from the research department in the Children's Hospital at the Medical University of SC over to the cardiac research department. Who'd a thunk I could turn out a child that smart?!! :confu

Congrats to you and to her. Sounds like you did good raising her. You should both be very proud.
I'm along way from that, but I hope my little girl succeeds that well in the future. We are just at the stage where I'm proud when she wipes her own butt. Potty training is so much fun. Ugh.

John, that is absolutely awesome! Give her Brenda and my congratulations. I know you are very proud of her. Citadel - :thu

Congrats! It's such a great feeling seeing our kids succeed!!! :thu

My youngest graduates next year. So looking forward to having play money available again... :yah

Congrats to you, your wife and her John. Do you have to call her 'Master' now?
We've got 4 yrs. until ours gets to college, hope she focuses as well as yours did. She should find steady employment in the medical field at least.

You'll have to give credit where it's due as I do when someone says our daughter is pretty...I say 'luckily my wife's attractive'.

Thanks everyone, I've passed your comments along to her and she appreciated them. Some of you don't know but, she's kind of part of the Stangfix family. I say "kind of" because she's attended several MBB's with me at Ron's.

Jon, it's funny you should ask about calling her "Master". Right after the ceremony when we met up with her, it was one of the first comments out of her mouth!! She's not only smart, but a smart ass too! LOL

Congrats to your smartarse. My one and only is just a sophomore, but her goal is to graduate in 4 years with a bachelor's degree. Then on to graduate school for her masters.

I used to tell my FIL, 'it's better than being a dumbass', he'd say 'you're right, I've got enough of those in the family'. I hope to one day finish my schooling and get a masters, just so I can tell my brother with a doctorate that I'll call him Dr. when he calls me Master!
