Daughter's '67 came off the jackstands today!

Stephanie was up from Oakland visiting last weekend and this weekend, so she was able to help me, both weekends. We finally finished her new OpenTracker/Street Or Track front suspsension.

Today we took a good hard look to see if she would still need to the get the strut rod buckets straightened, using the Street or Track strut rods, since they don't use bushings at all. The way the PO smashed the buckets, it has made the holes for the strut rods no longer perfectly round, so the strut rods are not really seating the way they should. I torqued everything to specs, though and did a preliminary alignment in the garage, then took it for a test drive through the neighborhood. It's pulling to the left a little, but it's good enough to get it to the frame shop and the alignment shop.

The ride is, as I was expecting, nothing short of amazing. Stephanie is EXTREMELY pleased and glad she upgraded to one of the best suspensions out there, IMHO.

So, hopefully into the frame shop sometime this week, then to alignment shop, and it should finally be going back to Oakland within the next 2 weeks.

I'm not sure if she's more excited to get her car back, or if I'm more excited to get my 4-Runner back!

Congratulations John. The car will be safer for her to drive along with a better ride. Very Cool :10

Yeah, and with this fist full of cash that AzPete gave me, I can finally put a big ol' fart can on it!

Be careful with the fresh ink on that wad of cash.........

Folger coffee cans make the best fart cans. They'll even give you an extra 50 horsepower....Is that more than doubling stock?? :lol

Folger cans with the cash in it and hidden under the lawn work as good as any bank these days...hehehe

I am happy to read your review as I want to do something with Amber's 67, just not sure what....

Unfortunately, after calling the frame shop they can't get it in until next Tuesday, so I'm at least a week away from the final review. I can tell you right now, though, that it will be nothing short of absolutely fantastic!!!
