She left for work (hour drive) and headed down the gravel road. About 3 miles down, she hits a big buck that's been chasing some tail. I get the phone call and tell her I'll be there in a few minutes, but she says that she can make it back to the house. It's still dark, so I flip on all the outside lights and open the garage. As she's coming down the drive I see that both headlights are shining bright and think :wtf
She pulls into the garage and I start looking over the Focus for all that will need repaired. I stand there in utter amazement as I find NO damage...none, zip, nada.....again :wtf
I can see where something had been on the hood (since the car is mud covered), but there are no dents, scratches or broken glass. The only thing I found was some hair wedged between the headlight bucket and the fender.
I've seen a large buck around the area she got slammed and if it was the same one, it's at least 300 lbs. I find it almost unbelievable that the hood was not crunched. She said she was looking at the head as it momentarily laid on the windshield. After she stopped, the deer slid off the hood, back to all 4's, wobbled a bit, then trotted off, jumped a fence and headed back out into a pasture.
I told her to go buy a Lotto ticket today!
