Deb's New Lawnmower

Deb has been wanting to help cut the grass, but she cannot operate the tractor without taking down trees, house, power lines etc.....so, after much thought, I decided to get a lawnmower she could operate.

Yep, how soon before will you be out of the hospital?

It was HER idea Pete! She saw the flyer from the local hardware store, there's even a bagger that they didn't have in yet. I like it cause it will be ALMOST indestructible to itself and the surroundings. No gas to mess with, she can't start a fire, only loose a finger or two.

I cringe whenever I see an old style sicle mower. When I was a youngster my Grandfather would pay me 50 cents to mow his lawn.... and I did it... for a few years. What a PITA. I was SO HAPPY when I found out he'd bought a gas powered mower.

Toes and fingers can be gotten for sure. Growing up in Iowa, I used one for many years because the owners of a yard I did insisted on a gentle touch. Every little piece of trash in that yard would lock the blades. Spent lots of time walking his yard looking for sticks, rocks, and anything else that could stop the blades. Never again after that.

Since we got the Lab pup, we fenced off a 30' x 30' area that the tractor can no longer access. We'll eventually put up a permanent fence that'll increase it to 50' x 30' with a larger back porch. She wants to make it into a flower garden area and needed something simple to keep the grass cut. She's not mechanically inclined enough to use a power mower! I'll only need to adjust it every once in awhile, that.....I can live with.

Keep us posted on how that whole "she's" thing goes. We will need pictures of you in your driving suit, weeding the flowers. :lol

:lol :lol :lol :lol

Mark does not weed, Mark mows it down or nothing!

Duane? A redneck? Hell, he only has about 1500 pounds of fireworks. That don't qualify. And besides, he's a world traveler, I've personally seen him in Myrtle Beach. :lol

Mark, I've driven through Kansas.
