I think I mentioned the other day some jerk messed with the snow man the boys had in the yard as a Christmas decoration. Basically one of those big blow up deals.

I was talking to a neighbor this evening and they saw the kid who did it. Apparently he knocked old Frosty down and stomped on him.

Her husband has an upstairs office and saw the kid do it through the window that looks out over my yard. They ran outside and caught him then dragged him up to my door to make him appologize. We weren't home so they let him go. My neighbor's wife was pissed they let him go but we do know now who it was. She has a friend that works for the Sherrif she would have called if she'd been involved instead of her husband.

Local punk from the hood basically.

I am planning to find out what house he lives in then go have a little chat with Junior's parents.

He's lucky it was the neighbor and their son in law that caught him and not the neighbor's wife. She's kind of a crazy old red neck that is very proud of the fact she owns a shot gun, LOL!

I know how you feel but be carefull confronting Daddy, remember the nut usually doesn't fall far from the tree, he might be a phsyco!

+1 on being carefull when going to talk with the dad if you don't know him very well. With all the nuts out their now days you never know what might happen. You might even be better off the the local police involved and let them talk to daddy.

If you get teh cops involved there may be a bit of resentment. You do have to live in the neighborhood. so, either very tactfully talk to the parents or drop it.

When you go talk to the parents, let them know you are not trying to tell them how to parent, just thought they would like to know what is going on and leave it at that. Make sure to introduce yourself and tell them what you have come to talk to them about is a bit tough, but they really should know. After all you are not asking them to pay for the damage, but they should be aware so they can take the action they deem necessary.

Once you have spilled the beans try to talk to them about neighborly things.

I hope I have articulated this correctly. I am in hope you know what I mean.
