Did some work tonight

After getting some bad info and installing the front windshield BEFORE putting the trim clips on, I pulled the windshield tonight, installed the clips and then reinstalled the windshield. Got the trim and wipers put on as well...

The car's looking really nice Rick, it'll be on the road before you know it!

Its on the road now. I've put about 200 miles on her. I was gonna drive to work today, but its supposed to be over 100 today and I wasnt really looking forward to sitting in 5PM traffic sweatin my keester off. I did pass a sweet '66 vette this morning driving in, kinda wished I had my car....

Where have I been??? Not paying attention apparently :doh

Running around in circles chasing a PT cruiser I guess..... Either that or my CRS is contagious....

I definitely suffer from CRS due to all the lacquer I've sprayed and solvents I've sniffed for so many years!

did you have to destroy the seal? I took my windsheild back out to paint the car and rather than risk breaking the glass I cut the new seal and had to buy another one. Car looks great!

............but dry................

The trick is to NEVER let the car see liquid water! It's been snowed on, but, that's all. It's a trailer king, it's afraid of water.

installing the front windshield BEFORE putting the trim clips on

While not the easiest way to do it, the clips can install after the glass/seal is in..... you just have to carefully get the bottom edge of the clip to sit under the seal. This usually involves a lot of "prying" of the rubber seal away from the body.... and it was probably just as labor intensive to remove the glass and start over again.

Dave,
Don't be so technical and correct. Were trying to have fun here. Rick, next time use more grease.
