Differences between a 1970 and 1973 Mach 1?

Does anybody know the differences between the earlier 1970 Mustang Mach 1, and the later 1971-1973 Mustang Mach 1 front end? Because I looked at total cost involved and found this. http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/pdf/TCI_pg01-02.pdf and I was wondering if there was no real difference in size or whatever it is I need to make this thing work, then I could just turn around and hook it up to a 1973 and have a better front suspension.

Far as I know it won't work, the cars are based on two completely different platforms.
