Interesting. Both of the only two flightworthy B-29s on the planet were bombing range targets and were saved. Fifi is the name of the gent's wife who saved the plane. Doc is one of 8 B-29s. They were all named after the 7 dwarves, and Snow White. Doc is the only one left of that group.
You were in Oshkosh this year. I thought I smelled something strange in the air.I was at Oshkosh this year and saw Fifi do a go around, then land. Seen a few times over Illinois on the way there. I should go down to Salinas if its still there.
Two B-25s at the Confederate Air Force in Camarillo. One of them is a Marine aircraft. The fact all of these volunteers have brought these planes back to life is great. Thank you all so we can see and remember Freedom is not Free.
You've got to be kidding me !!You'll get in trouble for calling them the Confederate Air Force these days. That hurts certain people feelings. They had an official name change.
No sir. Notice what I called it in my first post? You've got to be kidding me !!
