Donating Shag's original motor to a local high school auto class

DILLIGARA?
Donator
Now that Abe finally got off his back side and decided not to use the J Code motor, I've opt to donate it to one of our local high school automotive class.

The instructor Mike Camicia (a real gear head) was so excited to receive my email. Maybe I might see if they want to stroke it out and talk me into putting it into Red. That would be bbeeezzzaarrr!

That was very nice of you, Craig. Do you know how much J code engines are going for now-adays?

Oh well...a charitable contribution write-off on your 2010 taxes.

Good grief Craig, you don't waste any time.

I called my old High School to inquire in regards to donating and the program they have there is mainly body work and paint type stuff. I just emailed the instructor Craig and will be doing the same with Fred's 302 if he wants it.

Very cool Craig, I was lucky enough to take an automotive class in High School, needed to take Summer school to fill the hole in my schedule since it wasn't college prep but I loved it!

Cool Donation Man!
I can hear the instructor now, telling his students... When I was your age I had to adjust the carb and set the points while sharing my shoes with my younger brother ;)

Very cool Craig. In reading Mr C's bio on the Gunn web site, I see that he worked at the same gas station I worked at while in high school!! As I don't recall his name, my guess is that I am older than he is and he must have started there after I left for college in 1970. IIRC the station owner was a Swiss guy named Louie Meyer.

WTG Craig. I took high school auto shop in the early 70's and I know your gift will be greatly appreciated. :10
