Driveshaft recommendation

I think I have my vibration issue tracked down to the driveshaft. Any recommendations for a vendor to supply a replacement?

I was looking at SorT, but they only do aluminum, or at least that's all I found on the website. Is it worth the added cost? Also, I've read about some issues with longevity as far as retaining u-joints (with aluminum driveshafts in general)?

Denny's Driveshafts.

Got my steel one from Denny. Lifetime guarantee and heavy duty.

just let your driveshaft balanced so you will be 100% sure its cured by buying a new driveshaft.
my 0.02ct opinion.

+1 Unless yours is visually deteriorated or if it is a 2-piece design, I'd just have your current one balanced unless the cost of the balancing is close to a new one. If you scour Ebay you may be able to find one in your length off a Nascar vehicle. I have a 4" steel Dynotech driveshaft from a Nascar vehicle that I paid around $40 for. This was a $400 driveshaft when new if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the replies, all.

I'll probably just get a new driveshaft. I'm already looking at stroker kits & aluminum heads... so I might as well go ahead & get a heavy duty unit now anyway and be done with it. The vibration issue just gives me a good excuse :roll

I'll have to check into this option, thanks for the suggestion. It's pretty much time to tuck the car away for the winter here in Indiana anyway, so there's no big hurry.

Measure your current driveshaft to determine what length you need, but below are a few examples on ebay that I speak of

Please note that these have 1350 u-joints, much bigger than what your ford rear most likely has. I chose to upgrade my rear pinion yoke with billet piece:

Keep in mind there are short and long versions of the pinion yoke. Mine was the long version, FYI.
