dual exhaust system for 66 convertible ??

B67FSTB

The NorCal dude from Belgium
A friend of mine has a 66 convertible with a 289 and has only one exhaust end pipe.
He wants a dual exhaust system with a rumble exhaust noise. :coo
What does he needs and where can he buy it bests.

Re: double exhaust system for 66 convertible ??

It is hard to find an OTS exhaust system for convertibles. We seem to be the red headed stepchildren of the mustang world when it comes to performance parts. I ended up buying a set of Flowmaster 50 series mufflers and taking it to the exhaust shop to install. I chose the 50 series because they give me a nice mean rumble but are not a annoying as some of the other mufflers. Make sure to put in an H pipe or X pipe when the install is done. I would take the car to an exhaust shop that does a lot of work on classics.

I did the exact same thing with mine Bruno. The above advice is the way to go in my opinion.

This company has reproduced Mustang exhaust systems for years and have an excellent product.

I have a 65 Convertible. I bought the Dual Exhaust "OEM" version from VAMustang. It fit well (although I need to get a adjustment made to fit 100% perfect), and is bent properly to fit down the tunnel above the reinforcement plate. I have the Hi-Po manifolds. I like the sound over my original single exhaust.
