It's a bird, it's a plane......it's Super Owl.
Cool shot Mark, everyone should have one of those in their backyard.

HOLY $*&$%@#$&&

OK, now that that's over with I've got another hole in the wall to patch. That is a pretty cool pic but just stop for a minute and imagine. Imagine that thing taking off in flight in your living room coming straight at you. Ever since that hideous day the outstretched wings of an owl taking flight makes my skin crawl. You boys just don't understand :cry

Is that an owl house? Does it go through to the barn?

It's a Barn Owl box we bought from a guy in PA who makes them, Barn Owl Box

It's open to the outside and has a viewing window on the inside. It's cool watching the chicks grow!

Undoubtedly, it saw your ears and thought "what a wonderful nest or home for me to roost in!"

Really great photograph, that owl looks way too cool bolting out of that Owl box. Don't see those kind of Owls around these parts, well, at least I haven't. The following photograph I took at the Morgan Hill Animal Shelter at the last Taste of Morgan Hill show when I met Johnpro, Craig and KBMWRS for the first time.
Sorry blue65coupe, don't scroll down any further, it might bring back some memories.

I'm guessing that there's no rodent problem around there. Nice pic.

You guessed wrong.....sadly. They have put a dent in the rats/mice and moles, but I'd need a regiment of them to really be effective!

Abe, you're on my shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii1 list. That looks like the sob I took batting practice on with a broom. And Mid, wrong person. I'm simply ugly. Ain't got the big ears.

Sorry about that, I have had really no reason to show off that photograph until now. LoL!

It kept seeing itself in the lens and getting all crazy, so I took the shot and tipped the handler for the added stress. Those are some aggressive birds for sure.

Yeah, try finding one that's been trapped in a house for a weekend.

Just throw a damn firecracker at em. C'mon dude, with all dem bombs you have, you could reduce him to a pile of feathers in no time!

Poof!!!

If I would've had one, it would've been done. I was literally a few minutes from shooting the thing.

Ya know, somehow I know that you were. :lol :lol :lol

Talk about an epic fail...

Cool pix!! But becareful of standing under the owl as they take off from the nest. They have a tendency to "dump their load" on the way out. Growing up, I parked my truck near the old cottonwood tree that had a Great Horned Owl nest in it. It was covered with some VERY LARGE crap stains!!
