Glad ya'll are safe Craig, no mustangs injured either I hope :hide
That's a pretty massive funnel, amazing that no one lost their life in that thing.

We were on alert at the hospital in Gallatin.

Got to be scary seeing something like that. Glad all is OK.

yeah, no deaths. Their was some property damage but no Mustangs! It was nothing like the ones in Oklahoma but scary non-the-less. I was home when the siren and radio warnings came on. They said a Tornado was possible. We had some hail and high winds and heavy down pour and then it was calm and sunny like nothing ever happened. weird.

EF-2....that's just a heavy breeze.

Seriously, glad to hear no one was killed. They're cool to watch, but not to be in the path of!

Hmmmm, and here I thought having to deal with Cali seagulls taking a dump on me or getting a sunburn while check out coeds while they're sun bathing was pretty worrisome, but compared to your tornado issue, I'd better just shut up.

That's what I always thought too. We live in hill country and I've always heard we don't have to worry about tornadoes. Wrong. We had an EF2 go through here in 2010 that came really close to my house. It ripped up trees on the back edge of my property and did a lot of damage to surrounding areas. It lasted a long time and traveled a long way eventually killing one man in W.Wa after it crossed the Ohio River. Here is a video of it from my neighbors driveway. http://www.athensnews.com/ohio/article- ... ville.html

or Kansas grows hills, whichever comes first...

Funny coming from a blue hair stater. Welcome to Florida, we call our overpasses "hills"

Tornados are not as common in the "hills" but there is proof they happen!
South Central KY is more flat than Eastern KY but compared to Illinois it's like the Rocky Mountains!
I saw a report that it traveled 5 miles, destroyed 5 houses and a few farms. Lucky it was rural or things could have been much worse.

We've had some tornado's. They are usually localized though weakening in the hollars.

It's flat like a table over in your area compared to the foothills over here.

the stretch you drove between Bowling Green and Russellville is flat. In and around Russellville is more like where you live. If you came back I will show you some local hollars!
this bridge is right about where the tornado was...

Wish we could have hung out longer... the kids had a better time at your house than the cave boat ride lol.
