Emergency Flasher Switch location and big hole location in Glove Box Liner help.

Hello all,

I anticipate a fully functioning flasher switch in a week or so, and need to install in my glove box. Apparently I bought a new liner without the provisions (knockouts) for the flasher wiring or bracket screws. From this picture:

I see in that MU photo above that the wire harness has a "knockout" hole thru the top, but I have no idea where to put the hole on my box, nor the correct diameter. The same for the emergency switch bracket.

Can anyone measure their 66 glove box and provide some dimensions? I'd like to put the switch and wiring hole in the right place.

There's a round knock-out hole just back of the bracket knock-out; the wiring routes through that hole. The knock-out hole is right above the "g'.

I guess my problem is I don't have a knockout on my box for either the bracket or wire. I was looking for the size/location of both items.

Sorry...I mis-understood. My spare glove box doesn't have the knock-outs either, and it's very difficult to measure the installed glove box.

Where did you buy this box? You probably got a 65 box instead of a 66. NPD sells the correct box for 66 with the knockouts for $15.70. I'd recommend returning your box and getting the right one.

I bought this box sometime in the last year, but it isn't worth shipping back to exchange. I think I'll visit my local Mustang shop and take a few measurements.

A - 2 1/8"
B - 4 7/8"
C - 2"
D - 2 7/16"
E - 4 1/2"
F - 2 1/16"
