Engine and AOD mating checkoffs

Want to make sure I'm on the right track to bolt the 333 to the AOD correctly to do a test fit and have it ready when I do final install. It's been 18mos. since I pulled it out as a 289 and C4.

1. Bolts from trans to engine - flat/lock washers or anti-seize or locktite (red/blue)?
2. Fill convertor with ? quarts before mating to engine.
3. Convertor to trans shaft, turn push X3 and should hear 3 distinct clicks as it fully engages?
4. Flexplate to crank bolts -anti-seize or loctite?
5. Convertor to flexplate nuts - anti-seize/loctite?

I have the correct AOD block plate and inspection plate and want to install engine/trans together as I took them out.
Please let me know if you can think of anything I may have overlooked.
Thanks, Jon

lock washer is fine. Usually you need longer bolts, though ... available at your local hardware store. No anti-seize or lock-tite necessary here.

1-2 is more than plenty. Any more, and you're probably going to be picking it back up off the garage floor/

If you can stick your fingers between the TC and the bell housing, it's not seated. NEVER, NEVER use the tranny bolts to pull the tranny to the engine. If it doesn't slide up easily, back up ... you did something wrong.
4. Flexplate to crank bolts -anti-seize or loctite?
Thread sealer to prevent leaks from crank case.
5. Convertor to flexplate nuts - anti-seize/loctite?
Nothing. These are special nuts, and are self-locking.

You might as well snap off your kickdown lever off your throttle linkage before you get started. It WILL get in your way, isn't needed anymore, and you'll end up eventually snapping it off the hard way during installation ... it's going to be a tight fit (been there done that, got the t-shirt).

When i first started working on cars, did that and got the idiot of the year award. I ruined the front pump.

And please, please don't post a pic of J mating (or doing anything thing else kinky) with a tranny. I don't think that's legal in this state!!

Thanks for all the help guys, thanks especially Johnpro for answering my numbers and adding this "You might as well snap off your kickdown lever off your throttle linkage before you get started" I didn't know about that, I had looked at that before thinking it would hit my headers anyway. I'll pull it off and cut it loose.
Thanks, Jon
