Ever just not feel like working on the car?

Its Saturday afternoon, I've been gone on trips the past couple weeks, my wife is at work, and the kids are playing outside. I spent the morning changing a master cylinder on the dd, bleeding the brakes (effectively flushed the whole system since the MC was changed), and also flushed the clutch fluid since it looked nasty too (which is actually Dot 3 too). I could easily go out in the garage and knock a couple things off the fastback's list, but I just plain don't feel like it. Football is on, Penn State kicks off in 30 minutes, and I'd rather just grab a cold one and sit and do nothing.

Anybody else have days like that?

After many track/ski days cancelled due to rain and 3 mechanical failures with the most recent a bad one...yeah, I don't care if I EVER see that biotch again.

The shop didn't have a TV on which I could watch football, but they did have a cold beer for me to drink while I watched them work on the car...

I will more than gladly take her off your hands if you would like Mark. You will never hear :sbbp from her again. LoL

I feel like that a lot, but I know that if I dont Fred will never get done. I would really really like to drive the 65 around some day.

All the time. I had something I needed to get done on the Mustang last night and just didn't because I didn't feel like working on it.

God lucky though...I had planned to be at Aikido this morning and go there then realized there was no class today, LOL! So I hit the auto parts and came home and did a few minor things to the car. It was a nice day but now I am sitting on my rear watching TV, LOL!

It's those feelings that has turned my project into a three year ordeal that will probably take another 3 to 5 years :craz

Yup, been like that for about 3 or so years. Mainly because looking at my bank account is more depressing than looking at the rusted out heap I have in the garage.

Yep....that's when I take it for a drive......
+1 on that. I have things that need to be done but I decide she needs more driving attention right now. I have all winter here in Ohio to get things done.

So it happens to everyone.... just don't let the days turn into years. Because you might come home someday and the wife tells you it's gone due to "lack of interest", "taking up space - get rid of it", it's been collecting boxes and the kid's sporting equipment for years- "I got rid of it to make room for a new garage organizer system as that thing is not a closet".

Could this happen to you? Get out there.... do one thing.... look busy! :doh

New into my project, the only thing that keeps me from working on my Stang is a lack of money to buy parts! My North Carolina "Education" Lottery ticket has not paid off yet! Damn!

I've had those days in the past but for the past few years, all I'[ve wanted to do is woke on the stangs... Problem is, finding time is near impossible. I've found myself in the garage alot in the middle of the night lately trying to get a few things done.

if the suns out, im working on the car after work and on weekends. Only 2 things pull me away from the car, the gf and football. No kids yet so I gotta take advantage of the time I have now.

Football season is tough for me. I am the consumate coach potato this time of year. I get my routine chores/yardwork done in the AM, but come 1PM I'm firmly positioned in front of a TV with a game on.

I've got a couple of minor things on my "car to do list", but nothing that can't wait until there are less distractions.

Good question!

I think about what to do next all day, pretty much everyday... But unfortunately, I have to work all Dam day... get home and usually still feel motivated, play with the kids for a few hours, energy level drops some, but still have some motivation... After battling 3 & 6 year old boys through the tub, teeth brushing, and bedtime routines, most nights, the motivation is beaten out of me... But I try to get out there a few nights/week... some weeks are better than others...
That's usually how it unfolds around my place. I try on the weekends cause the kids want to play and so does dad lol
