Fastback is home from the paint shop :)

I spent a considerable amount of time reshaping repro fenders to match original headlight buckets. Just before painting the car I found another better set of buckets and they did not match up and had to do it again. I even had to rework the driver side Dynacorn quarter to match up to an original rear fender extension. I had two extensions to work with and both were close, but slightly different. It's a lot of work to make them look nice, but in the end I don't think many people take notice since as you said, with older cars it's not really expected for them to line up perfectly.

Thanks. And you're right, it looks fabulous in person.

One thing I need to capture in a pic is how the fender and headlight bucket match up on the driver side. NOS fender, NOS headlight bucket. They fit together like crap. For all those guys who spend a lot of money on NOS, holy crap man, what a disappointment sometimes. Still love it, and understand that even brand new not all the body seams or panel alignments were perfect.

Dont feel to bad, all of mine is original to the car and still does not fit as well as I would like. Sluggo and I spent a lot of time and it looks great, I guess when its yours, perfect is still not good enough.

All you need now is a beach chair...oh and rear side markers. :beat :lol :lol :lol :lol

Sweet....now get to work putting it all together. :pbj
