FCC proposing to allow Cell Phone Calls in Flight ??

I think the only appropriate response to anyone who wants to use a cell phone in flight is to insist they go "outside" to make the call.

I have not been on a plane for over 4 years. It was weird not having to shut every thing down for takeoff and landing. No cell phone conversations, but texting should be allowed.

As someone who flies all the time I can tell you that cell phone use on a plane would be a nightmare. Hard enough dealing with the handful of loud conversationalists seated near you can you imagine if everyone (and it would be everyone) was having a phone conversation? You get a small taste of what it would be like now when taxiing to the gate after landing.

We all survived just fine before cell phones. We can survive a couple hours while flying too.

I fly twice a week and I hate it !! Will have to find another way to travel if the FCC allows cell calls on planes.
