Filter Break Down Again Pic It Did Happen

I remember posting about my first drive the other day regarding a fuel filter dilemma. Well it happened again and I made sure to take a Pic for you guys to prove it Happened. I ended up taking the tank out and cleaning it, cleaning both filter and blowing out the gas line. Problem Bye Bye! Ugh!! Stupid upside down photo

Tank looks pretty new, is there that much crap in it?

I've had this happen, but the tank was severely rusted inside.

The filter was boiling I'm sayin :beat :craz

EVERYTHING is new , everything and that was the weird part. I had the gas cap off for two days last week and I am pretty sure what I was seeing was pollen, we gat that pretty bad here in florida, Besides the filter was not releasing gas yesterday and it was clean. I took the filter screen out and have a glass tube to monitor fuel quality and that leaves the tank filter and the filter canister near the carb. Yes I wanted it clean...too much money in the car to let poor gas mess thing up. I was never good at carb rebuilding, but I bet I learn some day soon.

Could this be a problem of the suction from the engine creating a vacuum in the tank and stopping the fuel flow? Maybe check the venting system on the tank.

Lots of thoughts wandering around the empty head today.

I lean towards Pete's guess, the fuel cap needs to be vented.
As for fuel boiling, slip a rubber hose over the metal line from the pump to the carb.
this will help keep the heat away from the block.

I am surprised you haven't had overheating problems and lots of coolant on the ground.

It looks like your thermostat housing isn't connected :)

You guys are a hoot. Yeah it is white. I wanted to see what it would look like , kinda like the cars Disney Movie. I am replacing them any day now and did this last year. The tires have HUGE cracks and have been on the car as long I I have had it. The rims will be TTO's and are ready to go. In the upside down pick (when I emptied the gas) you can see two of the rims in there. By the way the car is heavy to tip over.

okay you answered all the questions except the thermostat one, that does look like it will leak a little bit.

I know I did not explain this yet. I wanted to show that I actually did have the things happen that I said happened and around here Pics walk the walk. :)

except for the white tire, that is a sweet looking ride!

Got it, so if you seal that up and put coolant in it, maybe the gas won't get so hot? just a thought. I'm just kidding, what's the story there?
