I didn't even post about the youngest boxer running off into the timber last wednesday night when the wife let him along with our older boxer out to potty,(the old dog came right back--they chased a deer or a racoon I imagine) I went to all the neighbors, offered a hundred dollar reward on posters, called the two closest county pounds, finally gave up on him, yesterday I saw an add in the paper for a 2 year old female boxer for 200 dollars to only a good home, the lady drove for a hour to our house, stayed for supper with us, and finally gave us the dog because she felt it was going to a good home,(the dogs sister was fighting with it is why she was giving it up) earlier tonight I heard a bark along the house and opened the back door and in bounded our boxer after a week missing. Now we have three boxers. :craz

Thats awesome, Your luck is changing for sure. Boxers are great dogs. I had a mother and son for quite some time until she passed. Most people wouldn't believe how intelligent and loyal they are. They just see the large frame, ripped physique, and think about pit bulls and how they rip stuff apart. My boxers would/have never hurt anything, and they are great with the kids in the neighborhood too. Not to mention one heck of a home alarm if some one comes around. Congrats on the addition. Hope you have the room.

There you go.
I always thought they were as thick as a whale sandwich!!
But then i am a life long German Shepherd owner.

Wow, that is so cool. Glad to hear of the new addition to the family and the return of the lost pup. Congratz.

Thats great news..now see if you can lose a lottery ticket maybe a winner will show up at your door.. :lol

Three boxers...now try for a pair of briefs. :eek:mg

bah-dah-bum

Definately need a pic of these pups. The dogs I mean.

Congrats on some good luck for a change!

The boys keep bugging me that they want a "big dog" or an "outside dog"...but we already have two cats, a dog (if you consider the wife's pomeranian a "dog"...I don't) and three hermit crabs.

As the lucky owner of a pair of boxers myself I share your relief/joy with the return of the pup. The best part about boxers is their never ending energy and puppy-like playfulness...of course that can also be the downside depending upon who you ask.
I can only imagine what it would be like with three of them running about!

That's a great story Rod. Glad your dog came home. BTW, what kinda shape was the wayward child in upon returning after a week long binge?

His nose showed signs of being to the ground a lot, had a few tears on his ears from thorns, almost too good of shape, makes me think he was maybe kept at someones house or stolen and got loose???
