I got a lot of work done on my daughter's '67 today. The new supspension and brake calipers are all installed. I just have to set a base alignment on it, and bleed the brakes, and I can take it to the frame shop to have the strut buckets straightened. From there, it's just matter of a real alignment and Steph get's her Mustang back, and I get my 4-Runner back from her.
We went with:
Open Tracker Roller "street" Upper control arms.
Open Tracker Roller "street" Lower control arms. Went with 1968 arms, as they are cheaper.
Open Tracker roller spring perches.
Open Tracker roller idler arm.
New inner/outer tie rods.
Street or Track adjustable strut rods (1968 to match the lower arms)
1" sway bar.
Monte Carlo Bar.
580# Grab-A-Track springs, lowered 1".
Arning drop, upper control arm relocation.
And it already had an export brace.
This should be one SWEET riding car when it comes back from the frame/alignment shop. I will give an update when that happens.
Here you can see why it needs to go to the frame shop. I simply don't have the strength to bend those buckets back into shape right now. How the PO did this, I have no idea.
