First car show this weekend

I'll be entering the Fastback in my first car show this Saturday. South-of-the-border, in South Carolina, is having its annual Ford and Mustang show.

Good Luck stump......I almost entered my first show this weekend as well, but talked myself out of it. Maybe one day. :confu

How exciting! :yah You shouldn't have any problem winning a trophy with that fine classic! But the best of goodness to you!

Thanks, all. This is an experiment, as I'm not sure I have the attention span for staying long or the nerves for a lot of people around the car...

I've been to that show a few times over the years Stump. You'll enjoy it. Check with Dave Sanborn, he might be going as he went last year. Wish ! could make it, I'd have liked to met you. Good luck and have fun!

Does that mean you can't make it?

Actually, last year I met Dave and his son there. Has anyone heard from Dave lately?

Yup. Means I will not be attending this year. Wish I could have though. That's a neat show. I always enjoy the ride up there. For me, it's about a 75 mile cruise.

Too bad.

Maybe next time you guys get together in MB I can drive down for the day. We often go to Conway to a large Tack store they have on HWY 501.

That can be important as far as winning anything.

The local club had their show in November. My paint was new so figured I'd enter.

The problem was the local Camaro club showed up in mass....nothing with a blue oval on it was winning that day in any category to say the least. Just might be part of the reason a '68 Camaro won best in show, etc, etc....

Yes, Dave has been remiss in his forum responsibilities lately. Sorry 'bout that. Slow laptop at the house and super busy at work during the day have kept me away. I'll try to be more frequent around here, but I don't foresee it getting better anytime soon.

The South of the Border show brings out a LOT of nice Mustangs. As nice as your 2+2 is, I wouldn't be expecting a trophy though... too many BOSS 302/429's and original Shelby's in the mix. Enjoy the drive, check out the cars, meet some nice people and have a good time. Sadly, I'll more than likely be driving around in really big circles on my riding mower this weekend. We do have a local show here, but it's probably the same old cars I've seen for the last 10 years (read=disinterested). I might stop in if I have a few minutes to spare.

Ford and Mustang car show at South-of-the-border in South Carolina. Not a bad turn out considering the weather. We stayed until it started to rain...

LoL. I thought the same thing.

Was the car show in Mexico? Looks like it was a really nice day, love overcast car shows(much nicer to take photographs with diffused lighting).
