I have one like that--so windy here it broke off once, I patched it with 10 foot schedule 40 pvc pipe--held up a couple years now, also you have to check as some of the flags are made in china! Yours looks good

Years ago, my Dad and I built a 30 foot flag pole with an inside lanyard and it folded for maintenance. Flag never got tangled or wrapped and we ran a 4x6 foot US Flag and a 3x5 Az. flag. That pole held up in 80 mph winds. We used pictures from a company that used spun aluminum poles...we used steel pipe of various sizes.

We also erected it on the 4th of July that year. Just seems natural.

Finding US made flags can be difficult but that is all we flew.

Nice flag pole.....just not enough of them around.

Since Pete mentioned it, thought ya'll may be interested in this link:

They are totally U.S. made. To quote the company "Annin certifies that its American flags have been made in the USA of materials that are domestic in origin and that all processes in every step of its manufacture were completed in USA facilities with USA labor."

Yep.....that is the company ....I could not come up with a name....thanks.

Actually Pete, my coming up with the company name was strictly due to an ironic event! I read your reply this morning. Well, this afternoon I was channel surfing an came across an episode of Modern Marvels I wanted to watch. It didn't start for about 10 minutes, with a previous episode just winding up. The previous episode was titled "Made in America" (or something very similar). What happened to be one of the final US made products covered? FLAGS! They visited the Annin factory and covered their story! Too freaky!!

p.s. I know this is a little off topic, but today was just "irony day" for me. While on the 'net this morning I checked my "routine" check of the Officer Down Memorial Page (odmp.org). They post recent law enforcement officer line of duty deaths. One such posting was a Border Patrol Agent who lost his life in an ATV accident on Thursday in Ft. Hancock, TX. Before I watched Modern Marvels I had watched Shawshank Redemption. Where did "Andy" and "Red" cross the border into Mexico? Ft. Hancock, TX!!! It was a freaky day for me!
