Fleet Week just started today in NYC. A bunch of Navy Vessels sailed into the harbor this morning with all sorts of military aircraft flying overhead. As a former Navy brat its very cool to see all the service members around town. I'm hoping to get some time this week to tour some of the ships. Its been years since I have been on one. (I think it was the USNS Comfort) And now for your viewing pleasure, the USS Iwo Jima parked down the end of my block next to the USS Intrepid:
