Floating Front end

I have a 2001 Mustang GT. When im driving at highway speeds the front end floats/walks from side to side. Could this be the hub bearings?

How many miles on it? Type & size of tires, how long since the last alignment?

Bearings make noise you'd hear. Start with the simple stuff - tire condition, pressures right, alignment - toe off even a little will make it wander in the front.

My DD Lexus IS did that with new tires and fresh alignment. I checked the tire pressure and the alignment shop adjusted them to 52 lbs (max on the side of the tire). I called Pirelli and they said 32 lbs is what I should run. I adjusted them and everything was fine. I have a feeling that once the tires got hot the pressure increased even more and created a high spot on the middle of the tire.

Holy crap, 52lbs? Scary.

But yes, start with tire pressure and tread condition, then check the alignment.
