here's what i'm looking at right now. thank goodness i had sense enough to buy on the high ground, but this is almost too close for comfort.

my neighbors 2 doors down to the left:

the houses across the street. the swimming pool was completely covered this morn. water went down about 2 ft. this afternoon. the water is about 30 ft deep out in the middle:

from my friends house a couple streets over. i had to go pull his meter base today to kill the electricity before the house caught fire. the breaker box was downstairs under water & buzzing like a bee. not sure why the main didn't throw. his hot tub was floating around in the back yard. in the first pic, the house on the right just had a $50K remodel. hadn't moved the new furniture in yet.

That's horrible, hope it starts clearing up for yoose guys real damn soon. I have a cousin in the Nashville area, haven't heard from him yet.

wow, the news is saying the rivers are still rising. It could be a while before clean-up can even start.

I hope all will be OK for you.

Oh, where is the redneck wading through the water with an umbrella?

haven't seen one of those, although i did see one today on t.v. paddling a canoe thru the downtown streets.

mark,
if you contact your cuz & he needs anything, let me know or give him my contact info...

only thing i really have to worry about now are the snakes displaced by the water. saw a HUGE water moccasin today swimming about a block over. :scar

Oh man, I feel for you. Back in 1993 our town (Orrick) was flooded. We lost a lot of stuff. Good luck - I hope that water subsides away from you quickly.

ZzzzzZzzzZzzz...huh? Hoe's dat?

Snakes? Who's the one with the owl problem? He needs to get together with the problem snakes and everything will be great!

Glad to hear you and your familia are okay, and your place. Sorry to hear about the neighbors, hopefully the water will start to reced soon.

Stay safe out there, electricity, water and buzzing always scares the heck out of me.
