Hypocrites. No one I know of wants that idiotic train, which begins in the middle of BFE. There have been compromises to secure the Bay Area Dem vote which has greatly reduced the idea of high-speed from SF to LA by using non high-speed lines in the Bay Area. Even if you get to LA via train, you still need to use a car to get around since the public transit there is a joke. It will be a total waste of taxpayer money this broke state (and feds too since they are kicking in a portion) does not have.
Let's not forget how well the Golden State does managing large projects: the Bay Bridge replacement has faulty anchor bolts and also last week was discovered to have bad welds that will fail in an earthquake and need to be redone.
