Ford Unveils new Police Interceptor model

No anger - that was the closest smiley to "evil" - those look evil (and they should be fast with the eco-boost)!

OK that works for me. But is this something new? That is Ford developing a vehicle JUST for law enforcement use, about time if it is. fd

No it's a Taurus...but it's exactly what I'd want my Taurus to look like if I had one!! (Well, in all black, without the lightbar or LEO badging...BUT WITH the cow catcher!!)

I agree, gotta have the push bars to shove your friends car across the parking lot so they can't find it when they come out.

They also work great for playing shopping cart dodge - you line up a cart between your outer push bumpers and floor it to ~40-50 then lock the brakes and turn, sending the cart hurling at 50mph towards the opponents car while they're stopped not paying attention writing a report....the fender mashes take some creative writing to explain.

I think I'd opt for the ballistic panels in the front doors, perps in the back (inlaws) can take their chances :)

There was a big write up here about our V8 Holden Caprice being modded for LHD police use in the US.
The Caprice is a bigger version of the pontiac G8 which comes from here as a VE Commodore.
If Ford can only offer a V6 now, they might lose those 75000 sales a year to GM.

I can only dream about those. We're using a mix of cars right now. We still have the old crown vics in use and we tried the Malibus and even some trailblazers. They SUCK. We're in such a budget pinch we probably won't be buying any fleet for a while :cry
I remember the old box crown vics, the hard rubber piece around the inner door handle was a perfect spot for a large Dunkin coffee. The original beverage holder. :craz
