So, I read Mark mention this in another thread. I had no idea what it was, so I went to google. Reason I'm interested is that I'm considering buying the wife a new Explorer.
Truth is, I'm upside down on a Caddy CTS that my wife never has been happy with. I made a hasty decision when the tranny on her Acadia went out right outside of warranty. That's what I get for buying GM I suppose. When I bought the caddy it was a GM corporate lease turn in with great miles and I got a smoking deal on it. Well the bottom has completely dropped out of the car after recalls and such. I'm left pretty upside down on a car that has 45k miles on it still owing 5-8k more than loan book.
I said all that to say this, I can't find a deal on a Explorer for her without paying more money down than I want or a monthly payment more than I want. So, I'm thinking if I'm going for it, then I'm buying new. I could use all the help I can get on it.
