Found my first soldiering iron

janschutz

Corn Hauler
I was cleaning out a room in the shed at the farm last weekend. I found my first soldiering iron in a box.

My dad said I would play with this as a toddler. Explains the dents. My dad an electronic technician and actually taught me how to soldier when I was 4 (with a real electronic soldiering iron, not this one). I have that iron also.

And how does that compare to your engine building??? :hide

Car runs well. Probably because I didn't have to weld or solder anything. Now carb rebuilding.................

Got mine in 1977 and I was 23. Still works like a champ. It's a weller.
