Fox Body PB on classic Stang

Okay, got a question for those who might have done the swap. I have the 79 Fox with no title and haven't been able to sell it so I am going to strip it. I am building the 65 for a drag car but it has the jar MC. Can I use the 79 PB booster and MC on the 65 (remember it has 68 shocktowers). Or should I try to fit that to my 67 and use the 67 stuff on the 65?
If I can use the Fox stuff any details on the swap?
Thanks
currently a PB booster won't clear the VC on the 429 in the 67 but I have some 429 SC VC's that might allow me to use a PB booster. The 79 Fox was a 2.3L turbo so it has the larger dia. shallow booster as compared to the 5.0 booster
The 65 is going to be a drag car so it doesn't need PB but I need to upgrade the MC.
Decisions decisions...

This is the route I'm going to take but use a 99-up v6 master/distribution block because of the 1 inch bore and disc/disc configuration. I've not played with, but I'm going clearly on research and visual inspection. The booster should have a gasket on the backside and that it what I will use as the template for bolting it up and verifying the brake rod hole. It will take some minor fab work with threaded rod to attach to the pedal. I planned to use a 80's model f150 brake light circuit that bolts to the pedal. I've gave it alot of thought and it should work well.

If you don't want to go that route, I have the manual master that came off my 67 you can have. But I'd prefer power if I was swapping.

I didnt think about that. I have disc/disc on the 67. I should probably leave it alone. It works.
I read that the Ford MC's are all interchangeable on the booster.
I think i have a manual drum/drum MC laying around but i want disc at least on the front of the 65. I have 67 disc brake spindles. Just need the rest. I was thinking if i get a radical cam for the drag car i may not want PB on it. Now is the time to fab anything though while its all apart.

Craig I tried both the narrower (but longer) V8, and the shallower 4cyl ones on my '66. I am using a Maverick disc/drum MC. Both will clear the shock tower in this combination. The V8 fits....barely. IIRC it ends up about 1/2" from the tower. I ended up going with the 4cyl one for aesthetics. Keep in mind while the M/C's all have the same pattern and will bolt right up, the PB will no longer line up with the existing holes in the firewall. You'll need to redrill to the different pattern.

Doooh! I guess I coulda posted a pic too. Forgot I had taken one with it installed. Now you can see if you like the set up!

As you can see, plenty of room with the 4cyl PB.

Craig I shoulda asked, is the car gonna run an auto or manual tranny? If manual, the 4cyl PB causes some issues fitting a clutch cable or linkage.

that's probably the way I will have to go. When I get my :cens truck reliable I will haul it to his house for a little welding instruction on the frame and maybe shock tower bracing and a T5 cross member!
